白鹿原
還是那頭老黃牛
從黎明拽出一把生銹的鐵犁
把一個人的名字種進貧瘠的土地
有的結(jié)出玉米，有的長成高梁
一個肩扛鋤頭的男人
穿過掛滿櫻桃的果園
丟下疲憊的背影
黃昏總有人站在白家梁
一聲接著一聲地喊
The White Deer Plain
It is still the same old yellow cattle
That pulled a rusty plow out of the daybreak
And sowed seeds of a man's name into the barren field
From which yielded some ears of corn, and some sorghum
With a hoe on his shoulder, a man
Passed the orchard of cherry laden with fruit
And left behind the sight of his exhausted figure
At dusk, there were always men standing in the Baijialiang Village
Calling over and over again

詠 竹
一輩子
只按自己的想法
活著
從身體里一截一截地抽出
誰也夠不著的高度
一把硬骨頭
寧可折斷
從不肯向世俗點頭哈腰
Bamboos
All their lives
They live
At their own will
From their bodies jointing one stem on top of another
To the height no one could reach
A bunch of tough bones
They would rather break
Than bend and bow to the earthly world

修 剪
果園里
那個歪戴草帽的中年男人
握著一把剪刀
取掉一些枝條
留下一些，我想著
生活里發(fā)生的那些多余的事
總無人打理
就這么一直荒著
不開花 , 不掛果
Pruning
In the orchard
That middle-aged man with a tilted straw hat
And holding a pair of garden clippers in his hands
Is cutting off some branches
And keeping others. I am just wondering
Those excessive matters of our life
Are never cared for
Thus left running riot
Producing no flowers, bearing no fruits

掃 墓
梨花應(yīng)該穿戴整齊
天空得扯開嗓子
哭一下，最好有幾滴雨
調(diào)重悲傷的味道
需要借助一點點風(fēng)
從一堆紙灰里
翻出殘留的往事
掃墓的人稍不留神
就把自己掃進墓里
Sweeping Tombs
Pear blossoms should be dressed proper and prim
Sky should at the top of its lungs
Cry a bit. A few drops of rain would be even better
To spice up the taste of sorrows
Only with the aid of a slight wisp of wind
From the ashes of burnt paper offerings
Can the remains of the past be dug out
One oversight, the tomb sweepers would sweep
Themselves into a tomb

英 雄
寧肯相信這是假的
是無聊的四月編造的謠言
沒有比這更惡毒的火
無情地吞咽了 30 個鮮活的生命
我固執(zhí)地認為
一個地名，一串姓名
都不是真的，一陣風(fēng)過后
這群貪玩的孩子
會一一返回
The Heroes
I'd rather think this were not real
All were but a rumor made up by the bored April
There is nothing more vicious than this fire
Which, without mercy, claimed 30 sparky lives
I am adamant about this belief:
Neither the name of the place, nor the names of the youths
Is real. After a gust of wind
These elfish kids
Would come back one by one

清 明
想家的時候
順便也多想了一下
那些走過的身影
在城市的十字路口劃一些圈
一筆一劃寫上他們的名字
故意多燒了幾摞紙錢
除了送我的親人
也給那些游蕩的孤魂
留一點回家的盤纏
On the Mourning Day
When missing my family
I also spared some thoughts for
Those passing figures
I drew some circles at city crossroads
And wrote down their names with clear and neat strokes
Burning deliberately a few more piles of joss money
For my late loved ones
And also for those lonely wandering souls
To pay for their homeward journeys

桃 花
被一聲木魚
從唐詩宋詞里敲出
香火熏烤著秦磚漢瓦
一個又一個朝代
隨風(fēng)而去
鄉(xiāng)愁纏繞幾根枯枝
抱緊一縷清香
在秦嶺深處
歸隱
Peach Flowers
Rapped forth by a wooden fish
From the verses of Tang and Song Dynasties
Tiles of the Qin and Han are steeped in incense of piety
All the dynasties, one after another
Were gone with the wind
Homesickness twined around the withered branches
Held a waft of light fragrance so tight
And in the deep of the Qinling Mountains
Sought retreat

仲 春
油菜花擠眉弄眼
池塘的酒窩藏滿了風(fēng)流韻事
此時需要走出清明的傷悲
跟一縷春風(fēng)尋花問柳
允許一枝紅杏出墻
讓夕陽種下
一枚相思
The Mid-Spring
Rape flowers wink at each other
Dimples of the pond are filled with romantic affairs
It's time to shake off the Tomb-Sweeping sorrows
To flirt with a waft of vernal breeze
Or to allow a branch of red apricot to reach over the wall
Let the setting sun sow
A seed of lovesickness
