摸 頂
擠了一個上午
她把壓低的頭急忙伸去
活佛只是輕輕地摸了一下
像蜻蜓點水一樣
為這，她從大前天出發
背著 20 公斤酥油
走了一百多里山路
現在已過了晌午
丟在家里的幾個孩子
也許還餓著
Thou Blessed by Touch
Elbowing through all morning
She rushes to outstretch her lowered head
The living Lama but touches it lightly
Like a dragonfly skimming water
And for this, she set off two days ago
Carrying 20 kilos of ghee
Walked more than fifty kilometers of mountainous road
It is past noon
Children left behind at home
May have stayed hungry for long

案 板
活著，就像一塊案板
被時光磨光的刀刃
橫切豎剁
一聲不吭地忍受著
命運翻來復去地灌輸
愈合的傷口捂住生活的痛
記憶折不斷的枝頭
有鳥的叫聲
咬住黃昏一根肋骨
Cutting Board
Living is like a cutting board
Being cut, this way and that
By a time-sharpened blade
Enduring without a single grunt
What fate repeated instils
Scab from healed wounds covers up pains of life
From a branch that memory cannot break
Comes a bird's singing
Which grips with her teeth a rib of dusk

往 事
把一滴淚種進土里
思念也會發芽
長成村口那棵古槐
往事就像一頭老黃牛
被一條韁繩拴緊
一根皮鞭抽了多年
吆喝了多年
越來越像一塊石頭
重重地
壓向我的胸口
Past Events
When a drop of tears is planted somewhere in the soil
The pain of absence can sprout
And grow into the old pagoda at the gateway of the village
Memory is like an old cattle
That after many years of being tethered tightly by a rope
And lashed by a whip
And shouted, too
Is getting more like a rock
Pressed on my chest

接 聽
一定有一個遠方，有一個人
一定有一些無關緊要的話
消磨著安靜的時光
一定有一些街頭制造的嘈雜
壓低越來越弱的信號
一定有一些不可告人的秘密
被一陣風竊聽
一定有一趟火車
在黃昏到來之前靠站
一定有抿不住的淺笑
散落一路
Picking up the phone
There must be a faraway place, where there's someone
There must be some discussions of no importance
Killing quiet hours
There must be some noise made by the streets
Gradually pressing down the weakening signals
There must be some filthy secrets
Eavesdropped by a gust of wind
There must be a train
Reaching the station before dusk is here
There must be smiles that can't be held back
Scattered about along the way

面 相
看一座山
你得抬起頭，并且把身體
傾斜成一定的角度
還是看不到背后
看人也一樣
只用眼睛是絕對不行的
判斷常常會一錯再錯
表面一本正經的人
也許有著一肚子壞水
Face Reading
To look at a mountain
You must lift your head up and tilt your body
To a certain angle
Still you don't see the back
The same when you look at a person
It is absolutely not enough to use just eyes
Or your judgements would be misguided again and again
He who looks upright and decent
Perhaps is one with a full stomach of bad intentions


初 戀
就像一枚戒指
或一串手鏈
被一片綢布里三層外三層裹著
壓在鎖緊的箱底
一把鑰匙
沒事時也會擰開
擦去一層薄薄的塵土
跟新的一樣，而我
卻一天天老去
First love
It's like a ring
Or a bracelet
Wrapped in layers upon layers of silk
And locked at the bottom of a crate
One key
Unlocks it whenever there's not much to do
Wiping off a thin layer of dust
Then it shines as if new, but I
Grow old each and every day

老 兵
他一點點從身體里取出
殘留的彈片，取出擱在心里的痛
一錘一錘地敲打，拋光成一只手鐲
并反復叮嚀兒子，一定要把這些仇恨
一代一代傳下去，而掛在胸前的軍功章
他得帶走，帶到墳里去
A Veteran
Bit by bit, he takes out of his body
The remaining shrapnel and the pain in his heart
And then hammer them one strike at a time, and polish into a bracelet
Repeatedly, reaffirms with his son to pass on the hatred
One generation to the next, but the military medals hung on his chest
He must take with him -- to his grave

出 發
又得把分分秒秒算計
給沒完沒了的堵車留下足夠的時間
又得耐著性子，壓住內心的火
聽航班因機械故障而延誤
又得提心吊膽
把自己交給顛簸的氣流
這時總會莫名其妙地想起馬航
而我的出發只是為了歸來
Departure
Every second and minute must be counted
To leave enough time for the endless traffic jams
Temper must be held back, inside flames pressed
When being informed of delays due to mechanical problems
In fear and dread, I also worry About
Giving myself to air turbulences
At these moments, for no reasons, I think of Malaysia Airlines
Only, my departure is for returning
